A special discussion was held on the afternoon of December 2nd at the main auditorium of the Ibbagamuwa Divisional Secretariat, under the leadership of the Minister of Women and Child Affairs, Hon. Namal Sudarshana, and the Ibbagamuwa Divisional Secretary, involving all government institutions in the area, to plan future activities regarding the loss of life and property caused by the recent sudden disaster in the Ibbagamuwa Divisional Secretariat Division, and to provide relief to the people in the future and restore normal life in the area.
During this discussion, special attention was paid to the personal injuries and property damage suffered in the Ibbagamuwa Divisional Secretariat Division and the current situation, the development of infrastructure facilities required to provide food, drinking water, shelter, sanitation, health facilities, and repair of damaged roads for the displaced people, as well as programs that can be implemented institutionally to restore the broken mentality of the victims.
Special attention was paid to the issues of accurately and promptly communicating the necessary information in the face of the impacts of the disaster, evacuating people from unsafe areas, and post-disaster disaster management communication.
The Malsiripura Business Association, which participated in this discussion, donated about two hundred thousand rupees and a stock of essential goods including dry food and hygiene items worth five hundred thousand to the Divisional Secretariat.
Furthermore, the incumbent monks of the temples in the area participated in this discussion and thanked them for their special support and contribution during this time of mourning. Thanks were also extended to all the government officials and all those providing humanitarian aid who are working tirelessly, without eating, drinking or sleeping, despite the heavy rains and storms, for the sake of the dear people who have been affected.
The Volleyball Tournament (Women/Men) between Kurunegala District Government and Semi-Government Institutions was held on 26/07/2025 at Ibbagamuwa Model Maha Vidyalaya with the participation of 17 teams.
 
The men's championship was won by Ridigama Cooperative and they received the championship trophy along with a cash prize of Rs. 20000.00 while the men's runner-up was won by Gokarella Electricity Consumer Services Authority and they received the trophy along with a cash prize of Rs. 15000.00. The women's championship was won by Ibbagamuwa Divisional Secretariat. They received the championship trophy along with a cash prize of Rs. 15000.00. Ridigama Divisional Secretariat won the championship trophy along with a cash prize of Rs. 10000.00.

A mobile service program was successfully conducted at the Chulaka Cave Temple, Peddawa, on 24.06.2025, bringing together the divisions of Peddawa, Mahamukalanya, and Bogamuwa, as instructed by the Divisional Secretary.
Here, the Divisional Secretary, Assistant Divisional Secretary, Administrative Officer, and all the staff officers, as well as the Office Officer, Field Officer, and all the Divisional Officers who organized the program, and officers from other government institutions, contributed to making this event a success.

Saw dansala was held on 19.07.2024 in front of the Ibbagamuwa Agrarian Services Center with the participation of all the officers of the Divisional Secretariat - Ibbagamuwa.
